Dr. Vicki S. Johnson is a member of the Late Career and Retiree Affinity Group (LCR AG) and a member of the team that wrote "Women Engineering Legends 1952-1976: Society of Women Engineers Achievement Award Recipients." Johnson helped establish the LCR AG and served two years as the Local Section Engagement Lead, two years as the LCR AG Lead, and two years as the Newsletter Editor. Retired for the last five years, Vicki’s 42-year career included positions in government (NASA), academia (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), industry (Boeing, Cessna Aircraft Company/Textron Aviation, and Spirit AeroSystems), and private non-profits (Universities Space Research Association and the National Research Council Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board). Vicki’s degrees are in Aerospace Engineering (BS, MS, PhD) along with an MBA with an emphasis in Management of Technology. Vicki is a SWE Fellow, received the Distinguished Service Award (2024), and has been a SWE member for 28 years.
